The International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) invites you to participate in the 16th annual Applied Statistics Symposium at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Sheraton Raleigh The Hotel is in the heart of downtown Raleigh, it is close to the State Capitol, museums, restaurants, and nightlife. The Triangle Area roughly connects Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Cary with a diverse population of over a million residents. Hurricanes Hockey In the middle of this area is the Research Triangle Park, home to many research high-tech companies and enterprises such as GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, and Cisco System. "The Triangle" originally referred to the three major research universities - North Carolina State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill that are located in this area, whose research facilities and the educated workforce they provide are the major attraction for businesses located in the Park. The Triangle's population is the most educated in the United States, with the highest density of PhDs. The Triangle has been recognized many times by national publications as one of the best places to live and raise a family.

Program Highlight
The program includes two keynote and one banquet speeches, plus a mixer. There are six short courses on June 3 covering Mixed-Effects Models, Adaptive Designs, New Regression Techniques in SAS, Pharmacogenomics/Pharmacogenetics, Survival Analysis, and Analysis of Multivariate Failure Time Data, please see the short course descriptions for details. There are also more than 45 invited sessions during June 4-6 covering topics on Clinical Trials and various Analysis Methods and Issues, Drug Development, Translational Medicines, Adaptive Designs, Genetics/Genomics, Epidemiology, Bayesian, Medical Imaging, Longitudinal Data and Mixed Models, Regulatory, Business, Economics, High Dimensional Data, and so on.
